The new design for Converse's line of Run Star Motion/Hike is playful, distorted, and makes way for a future of movement. I wanted to take this concept further with an urban landscape, exaggerated lines, and sharp shadows to make a cinematic motion piece. The goal was to capture the nostalgia of this iconic sneaker while also showing it's innovation.

This project really solidified my personal interest in film and video as a medium, and the combination of mixing filmed content with After Effects and Photoshop to add a layer of animation. I was also able to explore stop motion, frame-by-frame, and macrophotography.
If I had time tor refine this project, I would go back and fix up the trim path animations for the jump shot, play with the projected text more, and add more frame-by-frame animations.
